42-year-old motorcyclist killed in Kissimmee crash, troopers say

A 42-year-old Kissimmee motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Osceola County on Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash happened at US-192 and Arabian Nights Boulevard in Kissimmee around 4:48 p.m.

According to a crash report, a Lexus RX was traveling west on US-192, west of Arabian Nights Boulevard in the outside lane.

Troopers said at the same time, a Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle was traveling west on US-192, west of Arabian Nights Boulevard in the inside lane.

According to the report, the SUV made a lane change from the outside lane to the inside lane and into the direct path of the motorcycle.

As a result, the front of the motorcycle struck the back of the Lexus SUV.

Troopers said the impact caused the motorcycle to run off the roadway left and the driver, to be thrown from the bike. The motorcyclist, identified as a 42-year-old Kissimmee man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the FHP, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were not injured and remained at the scene.

Troopers said there is currently a roadblock for the westbound lanes of US-192.

The crash remains under investigation.

The crash marks the third fatal motorcycle crash in Central Florida on Saturday.
