A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a vehicle crash in Baldwin County overnight on Wednesday.

Alabama troopers say Gary Jordan, from Axis, was pronounced dead on scene after being thrown from his Yamaha YZF-R7 motorcycle on I-65 near the 43 mile marker.

According to troopers, the crash happened at approximately 1:20 a.m.

Jordan was hit by a 21-year-old Atmore man who was driving a Hyundai Sonata. The 21-year-old was taken to North Baldwin Hospital in Bay Minette for his injuries.
