55-year-old man killed in dump truck collision on Highway 90 in Walton County

A 55-year-old man was killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Walton County.

It happened around 10:55 a.m. on Highway 90 at the Walden Road intersection.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a SUV driven by a 55-year-old DeFuniak Springs man was traveling south on Walden Road when it attempted to turn on to Highway 90. That’s when it was struck by a dump truck traveling west on Highway 90.

The 55-year-old SUV driver was killed in the wreck, while the 50-year-old dump truck driver suffered minor injuries.
