A 56-year-old man died in a crash Saturday morning on Jacksonville’s Southside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the man was driving eastbound on Beach Boulevard, near Peach Drive, when his car left the roadway. The car then overturned into a ditch on the south side of the road.
JFRD provided lifesaving measures and transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
This is the 50th traffic fatality in Duval County this year.
