A 57-year-old Mount Dora woman died early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Leesburg, police said.
The fatal wreck happened around 3:40 a.m. near the intersection of Main and Mike streets.
Leesburg police said a preliminary investigation shows that a 2024 Nissan was eastbound on Main Street when it left the road and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as Paulakay Gupton Dubose, was taken to UF Health Leesburg, where she later died, police said.
Westbound lanes of Main Street were closed for about four hours due to a crash investigation.
