6 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in Polk County

Six people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Polk County on Sunday.

The crash occurred on Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road near US 27.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said at least two vehicles were involved.

Three of the individuals were taken by ambulance, while three more were taken by helicopter.

At least one of the victims appeared to have suffered serious bodily injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
