60-year-old semitruck driver dead after crash at I-4 exit ramp in Orlando, FHP says

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a semitruck that occurred in Orange County on Monday night.

According to FHP, troopers responded to the Interstate 4 eastbound exit ramp to State Road 536 in Orlando at approximately 8:06 p.m.

Officials say a semitruck was traveling eastbound on the I-4 ramp when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle ran off the roadway and into the tree line.

The 60-year-old driver was taken to Advent Health Celebration Hospital and pronounced dead.

The roadway has been reopened.
