60-year-old woman killed, passenger in serious condition after crash in Palatka

A 60-year-old woman died, and a 62-year-old man was seriously injured Friday morning in a crash on Reid Street in Palatka, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash involved a Ram pickup truck and a Buick sedan, blocking all eastbound lanes of Reid Street at South 9th Street while first responders and law enforcement worked at the scene.

The woman, who was driving the sedan, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, a passenger in the sedan, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Both are from Titusville.

The 38-year-old Palatka man driving the pickup truck was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash and has not released additional details.
