A 61-year-old Century man is dead following a two-vehicle crash near Atmore last Friday.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Charles M. Cooper was fatally injured after colliding with a tractor trailer. The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on Alabama 21 near the 16 mile marker, approximately 10 miles north of Atmore.
Cooper was driving a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria when he hit a 2023 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by a 40-year-old Jay man, said the agency.
The agency said Cooper was not wearing a seat belt during the crash. He was declared to be dead at the scene.
No further information is available as troopers investigate.
