63-year-old Kissimmee woman walking across road struck, killed by vehicle

A 63-year-old Kissimmee woman was killed in a crash Monday morning in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal wreck happened around 6:20 a.m. on San Lorenzo Road near Koa Street.

According to a crash report, the woman was crossing Koa Street in a marked crosswalk when the front of a Honda Civic hit her. Troopers said a witness reported that the crosswalk is in a dimly lit area.

FHP said the driver, a 51-year-old Kissimmee man, stayed on scene.

The woman was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
