A 64-year-old man died on Sunday after “appearing to have a medical episode” before he crashing into a tree, according to Port Orange police.
Police said the crash happened at the intersection of Main Street and Cedar Street around 1:27 p.m.
According to police, the man crashed his vehicle into a tree after having the medical episode. He was taken to Halifax Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no other people or vehicles were involved in the crash.
Port Orange police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the crash to please contact the traffic homicide investigator at 386-506-5849.
