A 65-year-old Sorrento man was killed Wednesday in Lake County when his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck that turned into his direct path, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal two-vehicle wreck happened around 6 p.m. on State Road 46 at 4th Street near Sorrento.
The FHP said a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on S.R. 46 when the driver made a left turn and entered the direct path of an eastbound 2001 Yamaha.
The motorcycle struck the pickup truck, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.
The pickup driver, a 49-year-old Apopka man, was not injured and stayed at the scene, the FHP said.
An investigation is ongoing.
