66-year-old man accused of attempted murder in Royal Palm Beach shooting

 A 66-year-old man has been accused of attempted murder after he shot a man in Royal Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) stated that on Saturday at around 6:45 p.m., deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue had responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Sandpiper Avenue near Commons Park.

When officials arrived on the scene, they reported finding a man with a gunshot wound.

Deputies stated that they found the suspect, identified as Johnny Jarrall, close to the residence in which the shooting occurred.

Officials noted that the victim was transported in serious but stable condition to a local hospital.

Jarrell has been accused of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He is currently held at the Palm Beach County Jail with no bond.
