7 people impacted after Daytona Beach porch fire spread to house, attic

A fire broke out on the porch of a Daytona Beach residence before making its way into the house and attic, according to the Daytona Beach Fire Department.

A total of seven people are currently being assisted by the Red Cross.

DBFD units responded to a structure fire on Idlewild Drive and located smoke and flames coming from the porch.

All occupants of the residence were able to evacuate prior to firefighters arriving, DBFD said.

According to DBFD, there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Bureau of Fire, Arson & Explosives.
