75-year-old man dies after losing control of E-bike in Charlotte County

A 75-year-old man died after losing control of his E-bike in Port Charlotte.

The incident occurred on the Harbor Boulevard east side sidewalk on early Tuesday morning, where the E-bike collided with shrubbery and a lamp post.

The man was separated from the bike and landed on the grass shoulder.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
