80-year-old Pasco County woman dies in accident

PASCO COUNTY, Fla.– An 80-year-old New Port Richey woman died Wednesday morning after a collision at the intersection of Little Road and San Miguel Drive.

The accident occurred shortly before 8:00 am when a northbound Kia Forte, driven by the woman, turned left in front of a southbound Ford Crown Victoria. The collision caused both vehicles to spin out. The Ford then struck a utility pole on the west shoulder of the road.

The driver of the Crown Victoria, a 20-year-old man from Hudson, sustained minor injuries. The New Port Richey woman was transported to a local hospital and later died. .
