81-year-old killed in Marion County crash

An 81-year-old man from Ocala was killed in two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Marion County.

The crash occurred around 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 40 and 113th Circle.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the sedan was traveling south on 113th Circle and was approaching S.R. 40.

Troopers said that the sedan attempted to make a left hand turn but collided with a pickup truck and trailer traveling west on S.R. 40.

The front of the truck hit the left side of the sedan.

The 81-year-old died on the scene.
