An 87-year-old husband has been arrested after an alleged attack on his wife.
CS is facing a felony charge of battery following his arrest on New Year’s Eve as a result of an altercation at his home at the Lakes of Lady Lake.
Officers arrived at the home and found S’s wife, who was suffering from bleeding from her neck, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She said that S was upset about an upcoming trip she had planned. She said the Michigan native was so angry that he grabbed her neck with both of his hands. She was forced to kick him to defend herself.
In 2024, S had been arrested in an attack that sent his wife to the hospital.
He was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $2,000 bond.
