A 9-year-old girl died after a crash on US-301 Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.
A Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 32-year-old Riverview woman, was traveling southbound on US-301 when it turned left into the path of a Ford Fusion.
According to FHP, the crash happened on Saturday around 11 p.m.
The Ford Fusion, driven by a 27-year-old Tampa man, was driving northbound on US-301 at the time of the crash.
The 32-year-old suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
According to FHP, the driver of the Ford Fusion was not injured.
A 9-year-old Riverview girl, who was traveling in the Chevrolet Trax, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries.
