93-year-old Immokalee man dies after being hit by car

CORKSCREW, Fla. —

A 93-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car while walking along a road north of Immokalee.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 8 a.m., a man was walking west in the eastbound lane of Experimental Road near SR-29.

A 23-year-old woman driving an SUV crashed the front of the car into the man.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

FHP states this crash remains under investigation.
