A 96-year-old man in a pickup truck died, and others were injured in a St. Johns County crash on Thursday morning.
A 17-year-old girl was driving a sedan west on State Road 16 near Turnbull Creek Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said around 10 a.m., the sedan crossed over the turn lane and into the eastbound lanes on SR-16, where a 62-year-old woman was driving a pickup truck with two other passengers.
The sedan crashed into the front of the pickup truck.
The pickup truck driver and the other passenger, 32, suffered minor injuries, according to the FHP report.
The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The report said that everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
