A Boca Raton school drop-off turned violent on Monday morning as a father faced a barrage of punches from an irate driver.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said that on deputies responded to a report of a battery at Waters Edge Elementary School at 7:57 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim, who reported that while dropping off his child, a BMW cut in front of him in the school drop-off line. The victim said that he honked his horn in response.
PBSO reported that in an attempt to talk to the BMW driver, later identified as KM, the victim pulled his car alongside the BMW, however, M did not respond. The victim then drove in front of the BMW, prompting Muhammad, 35, to exit his vehicle.
Witnesses told PBSO that M approached the victim’s car and began punching the driver’s side window.
According to the report, after the victim opened his window slightly, M struck it twice, shattering the glass. He then allegedly punched the victim twice in the face before returning to his car and driving away.
The victim spoke to a school crossing guard, who captured a photo of M as he fled the scene, which helped deputies track him down through his license plate.
M has been accused of burglary with assault or battery and damaging property of over $200 but under $1000.
