Two men were shot on Tuesday afternoon in Miami-Dade County’s Biscayne Gardens area, deputies said.

Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported finding a man wounded shortly after 2:35 p.m., in a strip mall along Northeast Sixth Avenue, near 150 Street, police said.

A second shooting victim was outside of an apartment building along Northeast Sixth Avenue, near 137 Street, in North Miami.

According to Maj. Kessler Brooks, a North Miami Police Department spokesman, the victim was trying to get away from the shooter.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to help both victims, who they considered to be trauma alerts.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
