Pinellas arson detectives investigate after 2 cars catch on fire

An arson investigation is underway after two vehicles caught on fire early Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to the 5500 block of 64th Way North after the caller said two of his vehicles were on fire, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lealman Fire responded to the home and extinguished the fire.

Deputies said there was a strong smell of gasoline, and detectives determined the fire was suspicious.

No injuries were reported.

Arson detectives have taken over the investigation.
