One of three people being treated after a deadly house fire in Putnam County died at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville on Wednesday.
Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies confirm CG, 27, died from her injuries sustained during a house fire Monday on North Maryland Avenue in Paltaka.
Two of CG’s children remain in the hospital. Jesus Hernandez, 18 months remains in critical condition as of this report. The condition of EHG, 7, has stabilized.
Fernando HM, 31, and Enrique HM, 33, were found dead inside the home on Monday. AEDP, 4, was found not breathing and died at the hospital.
Sheriff’s deputies aided the State Fire Marshal’s Office in investigating the cause of the fire. Deputies say there’s no evidence of foul play or criminal activity at the home.
Officials confirm all members of the family were Mexican nationals, and the consulate is working to assist them. A GoFundMe was created to raise money for the family’s medical and funeral expenses.
