76-year-old Orlando man struck, killed in hit-and-run crash on Holden Avenue

A 76-year-old Orlando man was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly wreck happened around 10:15 p.m. on Holden Avenue near South Orange Blossom Trail just outside Orlando.

According to a crash report, the man was walking along Holden Avenue when he went into the westbound lanes. The front left of an oncoming vehicle struck the man, who was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Troopers said he was not in a marked crosswalk.

The FHP said witnesses described the vehicle as a possible white minivan, though investigators believe it may have been a white Toyota Sienna with its front left headlight damaged.

Anyone with information is asked to call FHP at *347 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
