Firefighters are battling a blaze Wednesday afternoon at a home near an elementary school in San Carlos Park, sending thick smoke into the air.
The fire is on the 17000 block of Caloosa Trace Circle, less than a block from San Carlos Park Elementary School. Video from the scene shows dark smoke rising above the neighborhood.
It is not immediately clear whether the fire involves a home or another type of structure.
