A driver who fled from a traffic stop in Altamonte Springs on Wednesday later crashed into a building in Orange County, according to a news release.
Altamonte Springs police said they attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a woman just before 11 a.m., but the car fled.
According to the release, officers did not pursue the vehicle, but less than a mile away, the car crashed into a building on Forest City Road in the Lockhart neighborhood area in Orange County.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken into custody and checked out by paramedics, police said.
The building was not occupied at the time and no other injuries were reported.
