House fire in Delray Beach kills two pets, man airlifted to hospital

Two animals were killed, and a man was rescued following a house fire in Delray Beach on Thursday.

According to Delray Beach Fire Rescue (DBFR), at about 6:30 p.m. firefighters responded to a house fire near NE 11th Street.

DBFR says the man was rescued and airlifted to a local hospital. There were two pets inside the home that perished in the fire. Firefighters did not say what kind of animals they were.

At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
