A motorcyclist died after a crash Friday morning near Osteen that left State Road 415 shut down in the area, according to the Florida Highway Patrol and Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred on S.R. 415 at its intersection with Fort Smith Boulevard, troopers said.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead upon their arrival, according to FHP.
Lanes are shut down in both directions of S.R. 415 as investigators work the scene, with northbound traffic being diverted to Howland Boulevard and southbound traffic using Noremac Avenue, the sheriff’s office said.
