The Walton County Fire Rescue is currently on scene of a structure fire on Delaware Road in Mossy Head.

According to officials, around 6:40 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the area following a 911 call reporting a residential fire. A neighbor reported seeing a nearby mobile home on fire.

When firefighters arrived, they said the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was inside the home at the time the fire broke out, fire officials confirmed.

Crews from the City of DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, Friends of Liberty Volunteer Fire District, and Argyle Volunteer Fire Department are on scene assisting WCFR in suppressing the fire. Firefighters are actively working to bring the blaze under control and prevent further spread.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, fire officials said.

The American Red Cross has been contacted and is responding to assist the homeowner, whose mobile home has been severely damaged.
