Authorities responded to a deadly crash that occurred Monday morning in Broward County.
It happened in the northbound lanes of I-95, on the exit ramp to Cypress Creek Road in Pompano Beach.
According to police, the driver of a 2011 Audi A4 lost control while driving on I-95 just south of Cypress Creek Road and crashed into a guardrail.
The driver, a 23-year-old man from Coconut Creek, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
His passenger, a 27-year-old man from Pompano Beach, was rushed to Broward Health North where he was later pronounced dead.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers were observed at the scene working with rescue crews following the incident.
The exit ramp was closed while investigators processed the scene.
