An 18-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in a crash after being thrown out of his pickup truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The man, from Lake Butler City, was traveling north on County Road 229 approaching Clet Harvey Road.
He failed to negotiate the left-hand curve and travelled off the right side of the road, where his truck hit several trees before overturning.
FHP said the driver was thrown out of the truck and it came to a final rest on its left side.
Officials said the driver died at the scene.
It’s unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
