Two men seriously injured in Holmes County crash

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash in Holmes County on Thursday night.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the crash happened at 10 p.m. on State Road 81. It involved a 26-year-old man from Ponce De Leon, Florida, driving a sedan, and a 54-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, driving a pickup truck.

According to a news release, the 26-year old man from Ponce De Leon was driving north on State Road 81 when his car drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with the pickup truck.

Troopers confirmed both men sustained serious injuries. One was life-flighted to Fort Walton Medical Center.
