According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a man in his late 30s was hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting late Saturday night.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck and transported him to a local hospital.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were playing video games when an argument broke out. During the argument, one of the men pulled out a handgun, which led to the shooting.
The suspect was detained at the scene, and all parties involved are cooperating with investigators. The sheriff’s office believes this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
