A man was hospitalized after an argument sparked a shooting on Monday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said the officers found the man shot several times on Restlawn Drive around 3 p.m.

According to police, two men, who knew each other, got into an argument that led to a fight. One man pulled out a gun and shot the other man multiple times.

Police said the shooter turned himself in and was in custody.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details surrounding what led to the argument were unclear.

Police are investigating.
