A motorcyclist has died from injuries sustained in a crash last week in Pensacola, according to police.
Pensacola Police announced the update Tuesday afternoon, adding that authorities are not charging the driver of the Mustang who the motorcyclist was racing.
The crash happened last Tuesday night on Gregory Street near 14th Avenue.
Police said the motorcyclist and a woman driving a Mustang appeared to be racing across the Three Mile Bridge.
As they neared Gregory Street, the Mustang driver slowed down, but the motorcycle continued at high speed. The motorcyclist was unable to handle the curve from the bridge to Gregory Street and lost control.
The motorcyclist was initially hospitalized in critical condition.
Police are not releasing his name.
