shooting in Deltona on Thursday night left a 19-year-old man hospitalized, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting was reported at 6:46 p.m., and deputies responded to the parking lot of 2820 Howland Blvd.
According to VSO, deputies found the man with a gunshot wound near his mouth.
“He was alert and talking on scene but was transported to an area hospital as a trauma alert,” sheriff’s officials said.
No other details, including any information about a possible culprit, have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
