An arrest has been made after a man was critically injured following a hit-and run crash near Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Authorities said the crash happened just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Fifth Avenue and Northwest 54th Street.
Responding units found the man alert and conscious at the scene.
However, Miami police said he was transported in critical condition to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by Miami Fire Rescue.
They said the driver fled the scene but was later found and taken into custody.
Authorities have not released the ages or identities of those involved or announced charges as of Saturday evening.
No other details about the crash were immediately released.
