A deadly shooting is under investigation at a home in Seminole County, according to sheriff’s officials.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Monday on Forest Lake Drive, southwest of state roads 434 and 436 near Altamonte Springs.
Video from the scene shows crime tape surrounding the house, with at least two deputy patrol vehicles in the yard.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the home and found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, described only as an adult, was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead, deputies said.
“Detectives believe this was not a random incident and are currently in the process of conducting a thorough investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
No other details, including the name, age and gender of the victim or a description of the culprit, have been released.
