Male shot dead in Miami-Dade’s Brownsville neighborhood, deputies say

A male was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville neighborhood, authorities said.

Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said they were called to the 2800 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace around 3 a.m. after reports of a shooting in the area.

Responding units found a male suffering from a gunshot wound in the area, where Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Sky 10 flew over the scene around 9:45 a.m., where yellow crime scene tape surrounded a Hampton Village apartment building and extended up to a second-floor unit, where an officer stood guard outside the doorway.

Several officers and crime scene investigators were seen moving around the property.

MDSO officials have not released the victim’s age or identity, or said whether any suspect or suspects have been identified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
