A collision between a Brightline train and a car in Lantana left one person hospitalized on Sunday.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), at 2:55 p.m., crews responded to a report of a Brightline train crash near Lantana Road and Dixie Highway.
PBCFR said that the 911 caller said a northbound Brightline train struck a four-door passenger car.
When PBCFR arrived, they reported finding the car with heavy damage.
Officials said that one person had to be assisted from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital.
No additional injuries were reported in the crash.
