A shocking video captured a 21-year-old man being sucker punched outside a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas neighborhood, resulting in a serious head injury.
The incident happened outside of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila at 21 W. Las Olas Blvd. at around 12:45 am on March 1.
Police said the victim confronted two men who were talking to his girlfriend.
They said one of them, identified as CG, 23, of Cumming, Georgia, threw a punch and ran away.
Initially, the victim didn’t want to press charges, but after being sent to the hospital with a brain bleed, police said, he then changed his mind and wanted to prosecute.
Authorities filed their case against Gunn in March and he turned himself in on a felony battery charge Wednesday, Broward jail records show.
He later posted a $5,000 bond.
