A 14-year-old girl died on Monday morning after being hit by a dump truck in Suwannee County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the girl was walking south on the shoulder of State Road 51 near Evergreen Avenue in southwest Live Oak around 10:30 a.m.
The girl stepped into the southbound lane, and a dump truck struck her, troopers say.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
