A 33-year-old man was shot and killed early Friday morning inside a Miami apartment, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call of a man shot around 1:38 a.m., according to Officer Michael Vega, a spokesman with the Miami Police Department.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex, authorities said they found the victim, who has not yet been identified, inside the fourth unit of the apartment building.
They said the man was transported by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The scene remained active Friday morning as investigators waited for a warrant to enter the apartment.
Investigators said two people have been detained for questioning. No motive has been released.
