An 18-year-old woman was injured in a shooting Monday night while she was watching her younger siblings play at the playground of an apartment complex near the Sandalwood neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said early investigation revealed two unrelated groups got into an argument around 7 p.m. near the playground at the Pinewood Pointe Apartments on Kernan Boulevard South, which escalated into a shooting.
The woman, who was watching her siblings play, was shot and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to JSO.
No arrests have been made.
