3 hurt in crash involving Amtrak train, SUV in Lakeland

Three people were hurt in a crash involving an Amtrak train and an SUV in Lakeland on Tuesday evening.

The Polk County Fire Rescue said the crash happened at the intersection of Canal Avenue North and Highway 92 East around 5:15 p.m.

PCFR said three people from the vehicle were taken to a hospital. No one on the train was hurt.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

No other information was immediately available.
