A crash involving two semi tractor-trailers blocked all northbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike near Palm City on Wednesday.
While no injuries have been reported, the collision left significant debris scattered across the roadway, prompting a full closure for cleanup and investigation, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
All traffic is currently being diverted off the Turnpike at the Palm City exit. Drivers should expect heavy delays in the area and are urged to avoid the scene while crews work to clear the wreckage.
According to Florida 511, the crash occurred at Exit 133 to Stuart —Martin Downs Boulevard/SR-714. Drivers were urged to move over or slow down for emergency vehicles. The crash, categorized as “major,” began impacting traffic just before noon, with initial reports logged at 11:48 a.m.
