Bicyclist dies after being hit by train in Brevard County


A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a train Thursday morning in Rockledge, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

It happened on the train tracks at 10:36 a.m. at Suntree Boulevard and Turner Road.

The person rode onto the tracks in front of the oncoming train. They were pronounced deceased on-scene, FHP said.

This crash remains under investigation.
