A 29-year-old man was hospitalized early Tuesday after being shot during an argument in a Deltona neighborhood, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
What we know:
Deputies responded to a reported shooting at a home in the 1500 block of Flagami Terrace. The victim was brought to a hospital in Orange City around 3:11 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and later transferred to a Sanford hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition following surgery.
Detectives said the shooting stemmed from a verbal dispute between the victim and another man, later identified as 36-year-old T A.C.
The argument reportedly began over how the victim was treating his girlfriend. During the confrontation, C allegedly shot the victim.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the Flagami Terrace residence, which is C’s listed address.
What we don’t know:
His current whereabouts are unknown, but authorities say he may be in the Sanford or Seminole County area.
What’s next:
An arrest warrant has been issued for C, who is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 and not to approach him.
The investigation remains active, and additional details will be released as they become available.
